For smokers, it is often associated with people, worries, and anxieties. Through the use of hypnotherapy, you can remove the emotional link to unhealthy habits like smoking, enabling you to move into a healthier way of being relaxed and feeling in control.

Hypnosis for quitting smoking works at the deep levels of your mind. You will be changing how you look at yourself, removing the habits associated with that pleasure. No gimmicks are necessary, no patches or Nicorette. Did you know that the chemical addiction of nicotine from cigarettes is out of your system after 72 hours? After that time, you have already conquered the addiction aspect of smoking. The remainder is to conquer the habit and replace the pleasure you get from smoking for another positive pleasure. How does quit smoking hypnosis work?

We often smoke when we have a coffee or after eating a pleasant meal. Our minds always associated the same pleasure you get from a coffee with the smoking process. This is why we need to feed the subconscious mind new files to process. The thoughts and beliefs may be things like’ Smoking makes me tired’ or ‘It makes my clothes smell. These new beliefs can reframe the way we choose to see smoking. Enabling us to make better choices when we are looking for something pleasurable to do. Nicotine is out of our system in 3 days.

So we are not addicted to nicotine, we are ruled by the beliefs within our subconscious mind. The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between a relaxing walk or a cigarette. All the subconscious mind wants is for you to be relaxed. In Hypnotherapy, we find new ways to honour that need to be relaxed so we can make better choices. Think of it as replacing bad files in the mind with new files. It is about rebooting a software program. And through the therapy, we are then able to create unison between the subconscious mind and the conscious mind.

Do you suffer from Mental Illness or Depression?

Often these symptoms will be treated with drugs prescribed by a doctor. Anti-depressants, sleep medication, and perhaps a diet or stop smoking program will be prescribed. It’s a good idea to see a doctor first before seeing a Hypnotherapist.

For the duty of care for my clients, I need to screen potential clients for mental illness before we proceed with a session. I am not able to facilitate Hypnotherapy, Counselling, or Reiki if you have a mental illness such as Schizophrenia or Bipolar or any other diagnosed mental illness by your Doctor, Specialist, or Psychiatrist.

If you are on Anxiety or Depression medication, you will need to get a doctor’s referral first before the session and bring the referral to the session. Not all people on medications and a referral can start the therapy. There will be a screening process before we proceed.
