Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss in Sydney can assist with weight loss by changing old habits deep within the subconscious mind. Whether it was through childhood trauma or trauma as an adult, we create comfort states with unhealthy patterns and habits such as overeating. Hypnotherapy for weight loss is about reframing these beliefs and asking the subconscious mind to find new ways to honour this comfort. The subconscious mind is then able to find new resourceful ways to turn bad habits into a healthy ones.

Often underneath the over eating, there are underlying issues of self worth, abandonment and trauma that trigger a response of comfort (eating, smoking or drug use) when we are triggered from our past experiences deeply embedded in our unconscious programming. When using Hypnotherapy and NLP, the practitioner will be working with these underlying issues so we do not need to self sooth ourselves into comfort eating.

Unconsciously we are triggered by deep feelings and habits that are not conscious in our everyday awareness. Hypnotherapy is the process of accessing these feelings and changing the way we feel about them and reframing the beliefs around these patterns. It is a safe and comfortable way to reframe the negative self-belief that we hold. Using such techniques, we access our deep inner wisdom, allowing the mind to find new ways to follow healthy practices. Physical exercise is very important in the process of keeping a healthy mind, body and soul. We can increase our motivation and self-esteem allowing us to be more able in the process of weight loss. 

Working with the inner self

It is more than just eating right and exercise. It is about changing the way we think and feel about ourselves and develop new habits and awareness. It’s a little like re-programming software in a computer so the system works differently. Until we go deep into our subconscious mind and make changes, it doesn’t know the difference between a healthy and un healthy habit that soothes us. So we need to explore deep within us to change the way we feel about ourselves.

What happens during each hypnotherapy session?

The program is four to six sessions in our Sydney practice. We work with changing the programming of your subconscious mind, then changing the way you feel about yourself, your habits, and self-image enabling a move positive forward direction of clarity, confidence, and security.

Do you suffer from Mental Illness or Depression?

Often these symptoms will be treated with drugs prescribed by a doctor. Anti-depressants, sleep medication, and perhaps a diet or stop smoking program will be prescribed. It’s a good idea to see a doctor first before seeing a Hypnotherapist.

For the duty of care for my clients, I need to screen potential clients for mental illness before we proceed with a session. I am not able to facilitate Hypnotherapy, Counselling, or Reiki if you have a mental illness such as Schizophrenia or Bipolar or any other diagnosed mental illness by your Doctor, Specialist, or Psychiatrist.

If you are on Anxiety or Depression medication, you will need to get a doctor’s referral first before the session and bring the referral to the session. Not all people on medications and a referral can start the therapy. There will be a screening process before we proceed.
