Rescheduling and Cancellation on the same day of the session
Attending your scheduled appointments is your responsibility. At the end of each day, time is unbelievably valuable. Therapy businesses are always busy and time slots are valuable. Respecting the time of a therapist is appreciated. Your deposit is a security for the practitioner when a client does not give enough notice when rescheduling or cancelling a session. If you reschedule or cancel your session on the same day as your booked session, the deposit will be withheld to pay for the appointment time slot, regardless of the reason. And you will lose your deposit.
Repeated Rescheduling and Cancellation can lead to therapy termination
Reschedule or cancel your session for the third time, the therapy will be terminated. The therapist’s time is as valuable as your time and the therapist may experience a loss of income when sessions are cancelled. Rescheduling or cancelling may show the client is not committed to the therapy. The time slot will be given to another person.
Confirming your session with an SMS the day before your session
A confirmation SMS will be sent to your phone the day before the session. If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, please give the practitioner 24 hours’ notice, by replying to this SMS and letting the practitioner know you’re attending the session. Failure to do this means you will lose your deposit.
The deposit is used for your last session
If you reply to your confirmation SMS the day before your session, the deposit will be held for you and used to pay for the last session. You’re just paying in advance. If you do not attend three appointments in a row, your appointments will no longer be available. And the therapy sessions will be terminated.
A consultation with a Doctor, Psychologist or Counsellor can work well with Hypnotherapy
A medical practitioner will help you find ways to strengthen your ability to make therapy progress. If you are experiencing severe issues, adding Hypnotherapy to your treatment plan will fast-track a positive change to overcome your challenge. Here at Awareness Healing, we also offer Counselling Therapy. Hypnotherapy, NLP, and Counselling can be used in conjunction with each other in your therapy plan. Masking with Medications,
rather than treating
Medications do not deal with the cause of the problem and can mask the problem. Counselling and other mainstream therapies can deal with the issues for a short while but don’t deal with the deeper underlying causes of Depression. Hypnotherapy can be a great complementary therapy with other Psychotherapy techniques. Clinical Hypnotherapy is now considered an advanced form of therapy and an effective treatment option for Anxiety and Depression.
If you are on medication for Anxiety or Depression, always check with your doctor if Hypnotherapy is right for you. Never change or reduce medications or stop any therapies for Hypnotherapy without consulting your doctor. Always consult your doctor first and if you aim to get off medication or stop other treatments, always seek advice from your doctor first.
Do you suffer from Mental Illness or Depression?
Often these symptoms will be treated with drugs prescribed by a doctor. Anti-depressants, sleep medication, and a diet or stop-smoking program will be prescribed. It is recommended to see a doctor first before seeing a Hypnotherapist.
For the duty of care for my clients, I need to screen potential clients for mental illness before we proceed with a session. I am not able to facilitate Hypnotherapy, Counselling, or Reiki if you have a mental illness such as Schizophrenia or Bipolar or any other diagnosed mental illness by your Doctor, Specialist, or Psychiatrist.
If you are on Anxiety or Depression medication, you will need to get a doctor’s referral first before the session and bring the referral to the session. There will be a screening process before we proceed.
Therapy cannot be facilitated if you have the following conditions:
• Mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar or Multiple Personality Disorder.
• Extreme Sexual abuse as a child
• Epilepsy (therapy is fine when working on the Epilepsy itself, not on trauma)
• Extreme Heart conditions
• Asthma Attacks (therapy is fine when working on the Asthma itself, not on trauma)
Are you on Depression or Anxiety medication?
If you are on Anxiety or Depression medication, you will need to get a doctor’s referral first before the session and bring the referral to the session. Not all people are on medication and a referral can start the therapy. There will be a screening process before we proceed.
Commitment to the therapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a mutual and collaborative process. You and the practitioner will work together to develop goals that you want to work on. We cannot change you but act as a facilitator. Only you can change yourself. You are responsible for making the effort to work on the problems or issues that concern you. We are committed to helping you in this process.
Therapy works best when you and your practitioner develop a strong working relationship based on mutual trust, honesty, and respect. You should demonstrate a strong commitment that will bring you great benefits. If you are experiencing any problem relating to the practitioner, we encourage you to discuss these matters honestly, and together a resolution can be made. You and the practitioner can work together to find another practitioner for you.
Therapy Outcomes
No one can guarantee that Therapy will produce certain results. There are some risks associated with any therapy. For example, you may discover uncomfortable things about yourself, or a relationship may change. If you are experiencing intense emotions, sometimes the feelings may become overwhelming. We assure you that the practitioner will use their professional skills to the best of their ability to address your concerns and help manage possible risks.
Please refrain from being under the influence of drugs or alcohol when attending your therapy session. This would be grounds for the termination of all sessions.
