Misconceptions about Hypnotic Trance

Misconceptions about Hypnotic Trance

Hypnotherapy and trance work for the use of making changes has been very much misunderstood. In mainstream TV, we see extrovert magicians who are hungry to deceive the viewer with trickery when attempting to hypnotise people. And most people who don’t know what hypnosis is can be fooled into thinking that seeing people collapse when a hypnotist clicks his fingers is real hypnosis. Partially it is true but I will attempt to explain the misconceptions of hypnotic trance. You will now learn what hypnosis is and what it isn’t.

Firstly, I will explain to you what happens on stage with hypnosis on the internet and on TV. The hypnotist is very aware of who too hypnotise. The hypnotist chooses people who are rather more extrovert in nature. The people who are susceptible to suggestion show certain traits that will indicate to the hypnotist to choose this person for their demonstration. The hypnotist would ask questions and if the person responds in a particular way, the hypnotist would know that they are the best choice for their hypnosis. Only 5% of the population can go into a somnambulistic deep state. Often the person may not even remember what was said to them. So 95% of the population do not go into this deep trance. It doesn’t mean you’re not in a trance and hypnosis can not be effective for change and healing. Hypnosis is beneficial for all people and the state of trance is entered everyday from all people.

When you read a book or watch a movie, you’re always entering a trance state, which means you’re entering the Theta brain wave and communicating with the unconscious mind. In the unconscious mind, this is where our dreams, beliefs, all memories and behaviours are directed from, and direct our behaviours into the world we live in. Trance isn’t some mystical state that only a few buddhist monks can achieve. It is a natural state we all enter at different parts of our day. Everyday. It is simple gentle focus without judgment or analysis. It is the process of just observing thoughts, re-experiencing feeling states and creating spaces of stillness within a calm and relaxed mind. The body also has unconscious functions such as breathing and keeping still in dream states when asleep. It has a state of relaxing the body and also a state of reaction to threat. The unconscious mind interfaces with the body, keeping us alive, protected and calm. It can also react with anxiety when feeling at threat to danger. The unconscious mind doesn’t really know the difference between fantasy and reality, nor does it understand linear time. A threat may be always present for protection even if the trauma may have occurred many years in the past. This is how we store this threat in our unconscious mind and always express our feeling states as a reaction. This enables our behaviour, negative or positive, too manifest into our world. Feeling states then imprint pain or discomfort in our body, creating illness in a part of our body that is associated with the emotional and meridian centres in the body. The feelings never lie when finding the causal of the problem. We explore the origin of the issue by feeling discomfort in the body, then exploring our thoughts through Hypnotic trance. Here we observe the thoughts, use visual, auditory or kinaesthetic intervention to reframe the thoughts that created the feeling states and physical ailments. In deep hypnosis healing, we always go to the cause. We can not healing the effects such as illness and feeling states when these issues were created in the mind. Spirit is the higher mind that observes this and is able to assist when thoughts are recognised as illusory and misleading. True spiritual connection is key in dissolving unwanted ego mind chatter.

So we now know that trance is just focus. It isn’t about not thinking. And it isn’t magic. Trance is when the higher neo cortex of the brain is used, shifting from the reactive mind and emotional limbic brain. And using the problem solving mind to find clarity. Hypnosis is not manipulative nor is in a dangerous state where you are at threat from a practitioner.

Do you remember the Placebo effect many years ago? This experiment indicates that the mind can heal the body. And the power of suggestion can affect the wholistic structure of your whole being. The mind is now proven to be the driver of our well being and is the central operating machine of your whole body. If you change your minds activity, you can create anything.

Reiki Treatments for Mesothelioma

Reiki Treatments for Mesothelioma

Please take a look at these articles about how Reiki can help with the symptoms of cancer. Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that’s most often caused by asbestos exposure. It usually forms in the lungs of those who have been exposed to this deadly toxin, but sometimes occurs in the abdominal area or the area around the heart. There are a number of therapies available that can help prolong survival and minimize symptoms and discomfort, but in most cases the cancer is too aggressive and too advanced at the time of diagnosis to be cured.

Here are two link to more information about the gentle treatment of Reiki and how it can be used as a complementary therapy to ease the trauma of cancer. Thankyou.

Dispelling the Myth of Past Life Regression

There are many people who are unclear about how past life regression works. I to remember how I was very confused with what hypnosis is when I first had my own past life regression. And lets face it, the nature of consciousness is very elusive. So I would like to explain a few things about what past life regression, hypnosis and consciousness is and isn’t.

Think of the process of ‘Past life regression’ and ‘Life Between lives repression’ as tapping into a radio signal. Once you reach a deep level of relaxation, you are very much tuning in on very refined subtle energies which connects to your higher self. Your higher self is an energy that exists in the spiritual realm. It is always there and has always been there. Where is it? It is right next to you and everywhere in the ether. Once we are very relaxed, we move down in your subconscious, then deeper unconscious, the human collective unconscious and into superconscious mind. The superconscious mind is the refined energy we need to tap into. It isn’t a destination. It is always there. It is about tuning into it.

As we communicate with the superconscious mind, we can ask many questions with a clear intention. As we communicate with it, it is very important to clear the mind of conscious thoughts, and trusting and surrendering to the experience. The best way to look at it is your taking an exploration back home where there are no worries such as paying bills, family stresses etc etc. It really is a blissful experience where you will be delighted to be in. Time is distorted in the experience where 3 hours may feel like 1 hour. Once you are in this realm, you are actually operating out of time and space.

As you begin the process of asking questions, the spiritual realm will communicate with you through the universal mind as your human mind will decode it through your subconscious mind. The trick is to make sure your conscious mind does not dilute the information you are getting with the human conditioning we experience in our human material physical life.

We then decode the information with our brains through our imagination. Yes, imagination. Now some people have said after a past life regression, that they felt they made the experience up. How it works is that we use our imagination to decode the information from the spiritual realm. If the universal mind had a mouth and a human brain, then it would just speak and share what it is trying to tell us. But the universal mind does not have a human body. So we are the conduit at which the universal intelligences can speak through. Think of the imagination as the paint, paint brush and canvas. And your feelings and relaxation are the connecting agent for communication. Feelings do not lie so trusting feelings is important. Think of the feelings as your vehicle. We are communicating with our consciousness, which never dies.

The unconscious mind is the part of us that controls most of our behaviors. It is the very protective part of our mind that is 90% of our hidden awareness. The unconscious mind is the part of us that makes sure we breath when we sleep and warns us of danger. It is the part of us that holds our deepest beliefs created from conditioning, programming and past events that have shaped the map of our world. Beliefs can me limiting and beliefs can be empowering as well. In my therapy, we will look at those beliefs created in our unconscious mind as we will reframe those beliefs using gentle suggestive therapy and NLP exercises. We are often we harsh on ourselves. Once we begin to be kinder to ourselves and others, we can then start the healing process. One thing that is very important to understand is that you must have a clear intention for this therapy to be effective. Knowing what you are seeking, trusting the process for change and having the courage to pass through the healing process is the key to making change. The last but most important thing is to be creative. Imagination is the tool to manifest what you want by creating it in your mind first.
